Sarah Amos is inspired by playing with clay and never ceases to be amazed by what can be produced from what is essentially mud dug up from the ground. She has a City and Guilds in Decorative Glass and worked in fused and stained glass before returning to clay and ceramics which she did in her early twenties.
What started as a hobby has turned into an obsession. She will regularly lose hours simply throwing on the wheel. Wheel thrown items are then embellished by hand-building to produce stunning items for the house and garden. Hand built garden sculptures, seed heads and practical domestic ware items are available to purchase either fired in the electric kiln or raku fired (pure alchemy!).
Sarah’s studio in Fishbourne near Chichester is light and airy and she also runs courses and a clay club for those wishing to start an obsession. Join us and chill out with a lump of clay.
