My pots are thrown from red earthenware clay and decorated with coloured slips. The liquid clay slips are painted, sponged or trailed on to the leather hard clay, using paper resist and sgraffito techniques to highlight the design. The pots are finally glazed with a clear, lead-free glaze.
Much of my work features quaysides, boats and fish, inspired by summer sailing excursions along the south coast. Other designs come from jungle, desert and tribal ideas.
